iPhone Shows Apple Logo and Keeps Shutting Off


A guest asked that his iPhone powered off and did not turned on again properly. He connected it to power cable but a message appeared to indicate that he should connect the iPhone to the iTunes. When he connected it to laptop, Apple logo appeared and it turned off after few minutes. If you run into similar kind of problem, here is the solution to fix a stuck iPhone on Apple logo.

First of all, try charging it for enough time and then use power button to turn it on. If that fails then restoring the iOS device might be the solution. Restore is the last resort, because it will erase all previous data and settings from the iOS device and you will have to sync the device with iTunes or iCloud to restore data back to device. Make sure you keep backups or let iCloud do the backup job for you. If you have backup then no worries for you. Proceed and restore stuck Apple device.

Connect the USB cable to your computer’s USB port but do not connect it to the iOS device. If the device is in recovery mode (iTunes logo and USB cable on screen), turn off the device by pressing and holding down the Sleep/Wake button (at the top of device) for a few seconds until the slider appears. Slide the slider and wait for the device to turn off.

Other method to turn off Apple device is to press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time and wait for it to turn off. Release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.

Press and hold the Apple device Home button, connect the USB cable to the iOS device now. The device should turn on. Keep holding the Home button until you see the “Connect to iTunes” screen. When the screen appears, release the Home button.

Open iTunes from computer. iTunes will display “recovery mode” alert message. Use iTunes to restore the device. After restoring the iOS, your device will automatically reboot and exit from recovery mode. If you didn’t see the “Connect to iTunes” screen, try above steps again.

If the problem persists, contact Apple iPhone Support or go to the Apple Genius Bar to get your device fixed.
