the interface is nice and smooth but it doesn’t do epub or mobi books so is largely useless for reading books not in pdf format.

Click the start orb
Type netplwiz.exe, or type netplwiz.exe in run command prompt, press Enter
Clear the check box “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer”.
Next time computer will not ask for password for windows 7

But this is not recommended as your computer data will be exposed then. Password is very essential for Windows for data safety.

Block cookies from that specific website you want to block.

For firefox:
Tools > Options > Privacy
In history dropdown, select ‘use custom settings for history’
Infront of ‘accept cookies from sites’, hit exceptions button and add website you want to block.

Or simple install firefox addon BlockSite to block undesired websites.

Go to
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Edit ‘hosts’ file
Copy and paste this IP below the whole code
127.0.0.1
Now lets say I want to block myspace.com then above code will be:

127.0.0.1 myspace.com
127.0.0.1 http://www.myspace.com

These two lines should be placed at the end of file named as ‘hosts’.
You might have restart the system for changes to take effect. And that’s it.
You can add as many sites as you wish to block in this way.

Tools > Internet Option > Privacy
Check ‘Turn on popup blocker’ option
Click settings next to it and set filter to high

For Mozilla Firefox:
Tools > Content and check the ‘block popup windows’ option

For further security, install ‘Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon’ for firefox.

Roll back changes. If you remember the date when data was erased, then try and recover it by system restore.

Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Windows 7:
Start > System Restore

Windows 8:
Control Panel > System > System Protection > System Properties > System Protection

It will allow you to choose a date that you wish to restore your computer back to. Your computer automatically does a restore date periodically, so you’ll have to choose one that’s closest to the date you need.

Use software to recover deleted files.

Empty recycle bin.
Run hard disk eraser software that completely removes all data. (Darik’s Boot And Nuke, Disk Wipe)
Format all drives.
Remove partitions.

Your laptop might need cleanness and maintenance. Blow the dust out from its vents.
You might got a virus or spyware. Get a good up-to-date antivirus and run a thorough system scan for viruses.

Remove unnecessary programs.
