Wrong Apple ID on your iphone or iPad? This tutorial will show you how you can change it. In case you have changed, user ID or email address for Apple by using any of your Apple device or via iTunes you may be changing the old ID from other Apple device to use this new ID. Why you have to keep to same Apple ID on all of your Apple devices? Because you want your data available on all of your Apple devices. So if you change your Apple ID, here is how you can change it on all other Apple devices.
According to Apple:
An Apple ID is your user name for everything you do with Apple: Shop the iTunes Store, enable iCloud on all your devices, buy from the Apple Online Store, make a reservation at an Apple Retail Store, access the Apple Support website, and more.
If you use several Apple devices then you probably use same Apple ID for all those devices. Same ID on multiple devices enables users to access data from any device. You can access your downloads, apps, books, purchases, music, videos from iPad or iPhone on the go, originally stored in your MAC. You can also take photos on the go by using iPhone or iPad and then access these from your MAC without copying these new photos from iPad or iPhone. That is because of syncing capabilities of iDevices via iCloud. For this you need internet connection, iCloud and the same Apple ID setup in all Apple devices you currently are using.
Here is how you replace old Apple ID with new Apple ID.
Go to ‘Settings’ from Apple device.
Tap on ‘iTunes & App Store’ and then ‘Apple ID’.
From there tap the old ID that is being displayed there and sign out.
Sign in again with your new Apple ID.
Tip: You can use different Apple ID on different Apple devices, without a problem. In fact you can use different Apple ID for each Apple device you or your family member owns, but that will not allow devices to sync data between them. To sync data between different Apple devices, you will need same Apple ID on the devices that you want to sync data between.
You can access your apple ID online from My Apple ID. You can change or edit it there and then you can change it on your Apple devices from instructions mentioned above.
